first_imgMarieda BlehmMarieda Blehm, 93, of Wellington, Kansas, passed away, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at her home in Wellington.Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 10 a.m., at the Hawks-Shelley Funeral Home of Wellington. Graveside Services will be Monday at 2 p.m., in the Cashion Cemetery in Cashion, OK.Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, 2013 from 12 until 6 p.m., with the family present from 3 until 5 p.m.. at the Hawks-Shelley Funeral Home in Wellington. A memorial has been established with the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Wellington and may be left with the Hawks-Shelley Funeral Home. For further information or to send a condolence please visit Wilene Blehm was born the daughter of Henry and Katherine (Bernhardt) Blehm in Cashion, OK. She was a 1955 graduate of Cashion High School in Cashion, Oklahoma. Marieda was a missionary for several years in both the Philippines and Indonesia.She was an Elementary Teacher for the Seventh Day Adventist Schools in Davenport, Iowa and later Rock Island, Illinois. Marieda continued her pursuit of education and earned her Master’s Degree in Education in Fresno, California. She continued to teach in both Belle Plaine and Wellington Schools. Marieda was very faithful and involved in the Seventh Day Advent Church.Marieda is survived by her sister, Elota Watts and her husband J.D. of Wellington, nephews, Steven Watts and his wife Jen of Derby, KS, Richard Watts of Winfield, KS, Darryl Watts and his wife Doris of Wellington, KS and niece Susan Dunn and her husband Brian of Longmont, CO; 12 great nieces and nephews and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.Preceding her in death are her parents, sisters, Freda Sowards and Ella Weber, half sisters, Elsie Wilkinson and Anna Miller and half-brother, Joel Blehm.last_img
