People can bring tires from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 29 to several locations around the Antelope Valley. Ave. T, or the Lancaster county yard at 46008 7th St. W. The tires will be ground up and recycled as rubberized asphalt and other products. People who drop off tires will receive a coupon good for 15 percent off Firestone or Bridgestone tires. In addition, people will receive a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts coupon for an extra dozen glazed doughnuts after buying one dozen. Disposal is open to Los Angeles County residents only. No tires will be accepted from businesses. No oversize tires, foam-filled tires or tractor tires will be accepted. Tires with rims will be accepted. People who bring in more than nine tires per trip must obtain a tire transport form a week in advance by calling the county Department of Health Services at (626) 430-5540.
