Google working on foldable Pixel phone but official release will take time

Looks like Google needs no time to rest as the company has already started working on upcoming Pixels. No, we are not talking about the Pixel 4 series here that is expected to launch around October this year. Google is reportedly prototyping technology for foldable phones to cope up with brands like Huawei, Samsung who have their foldable phones already.Having said that, it is safe to say that Google will soon launch a Pixel foldable phone. However, the company is yet to reveal the launch timeframe of the Pixel foldable phone.At I/O Google announced Android Q that comes with display support for foldable phones, unlike the previous Android versions. Google’s lead for the development of Pixel phones Mario Queiroz has confirmed that the company is already experimenting with the foldable form. But Queiroz did mention that Google will take some time to make the Pixel foldable phone official for the consumers.Commenting on the foldable phone Queiroz in an interview last week said, “We’re definitely prototyping the technology. We’ve been doing it for a long time. but I don’t think there’s a clear use case yet.”Queiroz further said that foldable phones are good but it needs to be more innovative than what it is currently. As of now, all that is known about Google’s foldable phone is that the company is working on a prototype. There are no reports on when the foldable phone from Google will reach the consumers.
